Feeling used and underappreciated is slowly draining your ability to be hopeful.
Maybe you haven't noticed you've been going through the motions like a robot. No one is noticing all the productive accomplishments you pump out daily. Most humans thrive on self-validation to gauge our success. Are you basing your happiness on receiving daily appreciation? You may slowly be sliding into burnout if your relying on others to validate your achievements.
Are you feeling Burnt Out From People Pleasing
Why do we seek approval and validation like a slobbering dog, waiting for its next treat?
I believe our own self-appreciation of our work is enough. People will hate on our work, as there will always be others more jealous of another success. Seeking approval can also make us feel self critical.
Leave the haters in the dust, and follow your instinct and own path to success.
Celebrate all your achievements, no matter how small. See your work as your kind contribution to the betterment of the world. Trying to win validation is only giving your power away to someone else.
Escape the suffering of looking for approval
I can still feel today how every success was never good enough for my parents. I carried this never-good-enough mentality for a long time. Its a heavy tiring weight that leads to burnout. Through my meditation studies I broke the chain of constantly seeking validation, by doing the following;
1. Celebrating my goals and successes daily.
2. Being content with how much or how little I achieve.
3. Looking for only the positive in any critisizm.
4.Not comparing myself to the success of others, instead celebrating and being happy for thier achievements.
5. Not expecting people will congratulate me, taking praise as an added bonus.
I hope this Quote from the ICHING will be helpful;
